It’s a SPRING fling

Zeitgeist is back for spring! The winter cry seems to be over and BAM – look around, how beautifully we are surrounded by green, pink and yellow twigs, growing in tender consciousness. The BFF collection from JMB Jewelry by Jorinde Meline Barke is a powerful yet tender spring story which has just arrived at our desks: We are lovesome-ly hooked on her handsome rings, bracelets, earrings and necklaces. Jorinde’s contemporary artwork carries a classical vision and is inspired by Bauhaus and the Arts and Crafts movement. Filigree pieces merge into tender organic ornaments of conceptual, yet wearable costume jewelry, all handcrafted in Germany.

The BFF collection – Blossom Flower Fruit – arises from the subject of fertility, embodying a plants metamorphosis: These three natural stages of a plant show off as subtle buds in green and rose on rings and earrings. Blossoms carry ripe pearls of stone being held by thin silver brands, keeping the fruit from bursting while branching stems and their arching leafage gently frame the collection. Materials and colors are either standing in strong contrast to each other or melt in mimicry. Blossoms are spring’s favorite show piece – and we got totally „BFF-ed“ by Jorinde and her powerful tenderness.

We asked Jorinde which lovesome things inspire her life:
My son, most of all Art Deco jewelry and silver objects (from the 1930’s) by Boucheron and Wiwen Nilsson and last like least, Requiem by Gabriel Fauré.

JMB Jewelry is represented in Berlin at Oona Gallery or Odeeh Store at Bikini House, among others. The BFF collection will be in store by beginning of June 2017.
