Revelation on the Edge

Take a close look at our Zeitgeist pic this week. Actually, it’s a pretty talented Zeitgeist face, we are looking at. We’ve met the visual revelationist, artist and curator Kristina Nagel at her new off-space venue aesthetik01 in Berlin-Moabit – a project space of vision, visual experience, value and victory in the context of art, as she defines it. The latest show — DOM – a collaborative work of Sonya Kydeeva and Philippe Gerlach — just closed it’s doors. Coming up next (reception on January 13) will be a solo show of Alexander Binder – a photographer using vintage lenses, prisms and optical toys. Kristina’s work is defined through intuition with a strong relation to fashion, the subculture scene and sensuality of straight-edge romanticism, superficial but deep. Besides her own independent projects she works as a freelance photo director and editor for a wide range of magazines such as Vanity Fair, Rolling Stone, Musikexpress, Closer, People and L’Officiel.

Her own website is currently in the finishing process. Stay in touch. — Talent up, lovers!
